The Supporters Club is saddened to learn of the passing of former Rovers’ striker Kenny Ronaldson who played for the club in the late 1960’s.
Ken became a somewhat unlikely Rovers hero in his spell with the club as, just as Harold Jarman related, he always seemed a bit timid for a front man with the ‘Pirates’ after an era of tough strikers like Bradford, Roost, Ward and Biggs who all looked more the part! However, Kenny won the fans over with some superb ball skills and delicate touches and everyone at Eastville grew to like him.
We send our condolences to all of Ken’s family and friends at this sad time.
Jim Chappell,
Chairman.
