The PFA Community Champion Award aims to raise awareness of the support that players provide to community activities throughout the course of the season.

Layah Douglas has volunteered her time to help with free after-school sessions for girls, assisted supporters during the EFL Trust ‘Fit Fans’ programme, helped at the Community Trust kids parties and was a part of the ‘Her Game Too’ kit launch last summer.

Bristol Rovers Women’s Secretary, Matthew Davies, said: “Layah has been an integral part of our community engagement this season and I’m delighted to be able to give her this award for her hard work. She has made herself available for a variety of different initiatives throughout the season and has been incredibly engaging and professional at all times. I’d also like to thank the PFA for recognising the work that our girls do, despite being local, amateur players within Bristol.”

Everyone at Bristol Rovers would like to thank Layah and all of our players who have contributed to our community throughout the 2021/22 season.
