Everyone at Bristol Rovers Supporters Club was very saddened to learn that Mavis will be standing down from his role with the Gas Girls at the end of the season.
It is no exaggeration to say that what has been achieved with the Girls would not have been possible witout his input and as sponsors of the Gas Girls we have found Mavis to be extremely approachable, friendly and inspirational.
The results on the pitch speak for themselves but Mavis can take great pride in the clubs’ work in the Community, and his part in the designing of the Bristol Pride, Her Game Too and St Pauls Carnival away shirts is the stuff legends are made of.
Mavis, good luck in whatever you decide to do next. I will miss our chats and hope to see you at Gas Girls games in the future.
