Planned Disruption To Rail Services To Affect Swindon and Exeter Fixtures

Fans attending our away fixture against Swindon Town and our home game versus Exeter City should be aware of planned disruption to rail services on the weekend’s these fixtures are due to be played.

We urge our fans travelling to these fixtures to allow extra time on their journey as a result of these disruptions.

Saturday 22 January – Swindon vs Bristol Rovers:

On the weekend of 22/23 January, there is planned disruption between Didcot Parkway and Swindon with services to/from London being diverted via Westbury between Bath Spa and Reading – these won’t stop at Chippenham, Swindon or Didcot.

Chippenham and Swindon will be served by hourly shuttle train services to/from Bristol Temple Meads. Please note there are no direct trains running between Bristol Parkway and Swindon, fans should travel via Bristol Temple Meads instead.

Saturday 26 February – Bristol Rovers vs Exeter City:

There is planned disruption between Bristol Temple Meads and Filton Abbey Wood affecting local stopping services at Lawrence Hill, Stapleton Road and all stations from Montpelier towards Severn Beach.

As a result, buses will replace trains at Lawrence Hill and Stapleton Road as well as on the Severn Beach line from Saturday 19 to Sunday 27 February.
