Some good news that both the Supporters Club’s sponsored teams got early wins in their respective Leagues with the Youth Academy Under-18’s winning at Plymouth and the Development Squad turning over Forest Green Rovers by the odd goal in five at Lodge Road.

The latter was a hard-fought and entertaining game with Rovers including three ‘first-teamers’ to give Adam Smith, Tom Nichols and Kyle Bennett some game time. That was useful as the trio all played well against a very stong FGR team that included several senior players themselves including the likes of Rueben Reid with both him and Kyle getting themselves on the scoresheet.

One good point about the Wycombe game is that the total prize money in the 50/50 Draw that provides the sponsorship for both the Youth Academy and the Development Squad topped £1,000 again but the £900 1st prize is still unclaimed at the time of writing. If you bought a ticket from Sue Dry, who sells just inside the Memorial Gates, at that match and you are still holding ticket number 003238 then come to the Supporters Club’s match-day cabin in the car park straight after the game tonight to claim your money! The prize remains claimable up to six weeks on from the date of the game so you have until the home match against Blackpool to get your money.
