The Supporters Club having put so much money into our support of the Development Squad, in addition to our sponsorship of the Youth Academy I was most pleased to see Alfie Kilgour being recalled from his loan at Maidenhead United where he was receiving ‘Man-of-the-match’ awards week in and out.
I love to have a Rovers team packed with local home-grown talent and Alfie is another that has come up through our ranks, sponsored throughout by supporters of the club. You only have to look at the recent performances of Captain Tom Lockyer and Ollie Clarke, backed-up by the likes of Chris Lines to realise how important this sponsorship is to a club like Rovers. Please keep buying those 50/50 tickets and I might be handing some cash over to you at half-time!
