Tomorrow’s clash at the Memorial Stadium will be the 53rd fixture between the two sides.
Rovers currently lead the head to head by 21 wins to 18, with 13 games drawn.
The two sides first played each other in 1965 when Rovers won an Eastville encounter 3-1 with Oxford winning the return by a goal to nil. Our best results were a 5-0 win at the Manor Ground in January 2000 which we followed up with a 6-2 win at the Memorial Stadium in the following season. Our blackest hour came in August 2010 when we crashed to a 6-1 League Cup defeat.
Rovers were victorious in both games last season. A Jermaine Easter goal helped Rovers to a 2-1 win at The Mem, and first half strikes from Ollie Clarke and Stuart Sinclair gave Rovers a 2-0 win at the Kassam Stadium.
