The Development Squad have today completed the signing of striker Deon Moore.

Chris Hargreaves has bolstered his attacking options ahead of next Thursday’s Premier League Cup qualifying fixture against Exeter City at the Mem with the addition of the former Peterborough striker.

Nineteen-year-old Moore spent the earlier phases of his career impressing in non-league with Carshalton Athletic, before joining Peterborough United as a scholar in 2015.

During his spell at Peterborough, the striker made four first-team appearances in the EFL.

The striker has featured for the Development Squad on trial throughout pre-season.

Speaking about the striker’s arrival, Development Squad Manager, Chris Hargreaves said, “Deon is a player looking to get his career going again and we believe that we can offer him that opportunity to impress here.

“He’s a strong and powerful number 9, so it gives us good options in the attacking positions.

“We have an important fixture next week against Exeter and then we are into our Central League fixtures, so we are sure Deon will add to the squad we have already at our disposal.”
