Now that the dust has settled on the greatest ever end to a campaign it is time for us to say a huge thank you to our loyal band of Match-Day Volunteers. Standing out in all weathers they manged to sell in excess of 33,000 tickets for the 50/50 draws and regularly sold out of programmes.

A huge thanks goes to our Match-Day Organiser Jamie Howarth who puts the whole operation to work at every single home game. Jamie says:

“I would like to publicly thank the people that have helped get the programmes and 50/50 tickets to you. To Pete and Leanne in the Clubhouse; Sue, Sarah and Jackie in the booths at the Home End; Mel and Helen in Corporate; Ray, James and Angela in the Home End; Dave and Sam on Filton Avenue, Spencer in the Civil Service Club; Janet in the shop with me, David who has covered many positions when needed; and Ron at the beginning of the season. The dedication of these people, many who stand outside in the wind and rain for hours is something to behold. Thank you all”.

A thank you also goes to Pete and his fantastic team in the Club Shop who count all the pound coins and have everything ready for a half-time draw.

Our thank yous would not be complete without saying a massive thank you to every supporter that has bought a ticket. Without you our sellers would have nothing to do and if you weren’t successful this season, there’s always next!

It is no secret that the 50/50 draw was transferred from the Supporters Club to the Football Club and this is a perfect example of the Supporters Club and Football Club working together for the benefit of everyone.
