What Is The Merit League?
It is the new EFL Youth Alliance league that begins in February 2017.
It is for the 22 sides in the South West and South East Division of the Youth Alliance League.
The Top 50% of each division go into Merit League One and the bottom 50% go into Merit League Two.
Bristol Rovers FC Under 18 Academy side are likely to be in Merit League One from February 2017 onwards.
More information will be provided at the end of January 2017 when the composition of the league is clearer.
