Tomorrow Night’s Referee

Feb 27, 2017 | News

Tomorrow night’s game at Bolton will be refereed by Jeremy Simpson.

Simpson has officiated 29 matches so far this season – issuing 131 yellow cards and three red.

His most recent outing was on February 18, when he was the man in the middle for Cardiff City’s 5-0 victory over Rotherham United in the Championship. The Lancashire official produced two yellow cards in that game, both of which went to visiting Rotherham players.

The last time he refereed a Rovers fixture was in September 2015, when we lost 2-1 at home to Portsmouth in League Two. Five players were booked that afternoon, including our trio of Tom Lockyer, Chris Lines and Jake Gosling.

Simpson’s last match in charge of Bolton was in February 2016, when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Queens Park Rangers in a Championship clash at Macron Stadium. Two cautions were issued that afternoon, both of which went to Rangers players.

Below is the full set of officials for Tuesday’s game between Bolton and Bristol Rovers:
