HOW DOES THE LOAN WINDOW OPERATE?

The January transfer window opened on Sunday January 1st 2017.
Football League regulations require the full paperwork and deal done before midday on the working day before the player makes an appearance.
Tuesday January 31st 2017 at 11pm is the end of the transfer window this year.
Transfers can be completed after 11pm providing clubs ensure the required ‘deal sheet’ to have a player registered as transferred is completed on time.The necessary paperwork can subsequently be completed.
Once this window is complete the clubs must stick with their squad until the end of the season. Out of contract players can still be added to the squad thereafter.
