Robert Jones has been the referee in charge for 35 matches this season and has issued 110 Yellow and 4 Red cards. He has also awarded 14 penalties and in five of those games he gave two penalties. The Bristol Rovers players need to be careful with the timing and nature of their challenges in the box on Saturday against AFC Wimbledon.

Robert Jones has taken charge of two previous Bristol Rovers matches but this will be the first time he has taken charge of an AFC Wimbledon match. He was the man-in-the-middle at The Memorial Stadium for the 4-2 victory against Bury FC on Saturday 10th December 2016.
Goals from Rory Gaffney, (32), A N Other, (45), Ollie Clarke, (67) and Peter Hartley, (82) earned the three points. Neil Danns was dismissed in that match in the 88th minute and The Beard was the only BRFC player booked in the match.
Robert Jones was also the referee back on Saturday 27th September 2014 at Haig Avenue. Jake Gosling‘s 13th minute goal ensured the three points came to the South West on that occasion. Tom Lockyer was the only Bristol Rovers player booked in that game against The Southport Sandgrounders.
