Following on from the huge success of the relaunch of Bristol Rovers Women’s FC, Bristol Rovers Community Trust are delighted to be releasing a new Gas Girls promotional brand.

The new image features a female pirate across the famous Blue and White quarters. The image also features the year 2019, the year of the new clubs formation.

The striking image will be used to help promote Bristol Rovers Women’s FC to a new, young, female fanbase and will be used on promotional materials such as flags, banners, scarves, stickers and badges that will be distributed at matches.

The Women’s First Team and Development Team playing and training kits will still feature the traditional Bristol Rovers Club Badge.

Adam Tutton, CEO of the Community Trust said, “Our market research indicated that the new fanbase we hope to attract to Bristol Rovers Women’s FC wanted to establish their own identity, but at the same time still wanted to be closely linked to Bristol Rovers FC. We feel this wish has been achieved with our new design and I cannot wait to see the image emblazoned on flags, banners, badges and T-shirts”.

The designer of the new image, James Tonizzo, said’ ” It was fantastic to be involved and make my own small contribution to the return of Gas Girls. I’m a big fan of women’s football and it’s great to see how the game has progressed over the last few years. As a father to an enthusiastic ten-year-old daughter it’s brilliant to see these opportunities now exist and one day she may even be able to wear the famous blue and white quarters and represent our club”

The newly reformed Bristol Rovers Women’s FC have this week been successfully elected into the Gloucestershire County Women’s League where the 1st team will play in Division 1, while the Development Team will start in Division 2. Both teams will be based at the new £6 million Lockleaze Sports Centre and will play every Sunday from September.

Bristol Rovers Community Trust hopes to create a fun, friendly family atmosphere at each match and are aiming to become Bristol’s most well supported female football club.

Lockleaze Sports Centre, the new home of the Gas Girls, will be running matchday food and drink promotions throughout the season, as well as organising family fun days, barbeques and special guest appearances most match days.
