The Committee’s first monthly meeting took place last week with all the usual quite mundane stuff being discussed but we were one person light following the resignation of Nick Hodgson. Nick lives in London and was finding it difficult to make the meetings and was also unable to contribute on match-days for the same reason. Despite that he was a highly regarded member of the committee and his intellect and wise counsel will be greatly missed so my thanks go to Nick for his efforts. We are a little down on ‘numbers’ then but I’m pleased that we still have such a good hard-working group of supporters who are so willing to give of their time in order to run the Club. Meantime anyone wanting to help our volunteers on match-days would be very welcome so get in touch and let’s see what you can do.

One item of interest to fans would be our nomination for the Supporters Club’s ‘Goal of the Month’, which will then count towards ‘Goal of the Season’ and for December we chose that fantastic solo strike by Alex Jakubiak in Rovers’ victory at the Liberty Stadium in the Checkatrade Trophy. Not many saw it live but that won’t stop it being a strong runner for the trophy come the end of the season!
