EFL Youth Alliance Merit League ONE.

2016/2017 Season.

Bristol Rovers Under 18 Academy played Exeter City Academy side at The Cat & Fiddle on Saturday 22nd April 2017.

In last weekend’s fixture Lewis Ellington scored the equaliser to give Bristol Rovers a well deserved point in the 1-1 draw.

In the two previous matches against The Grecians Under 18 Academy side this season there have been plenty of goals. A victory still proves elusive though. The opening Youth Alliance South West league match of the season, back in August 2016, away in Exeter, also produced a keenly contested encounter that ended 3-3. In the home match at Lodge Road, back in October, Tyrone Tucker-Dixon scored a beauty of a goal as the BRFC Academy side, who were outplayed first half, came back strongly to equalise from a 2-0 deficit at the interval. Unfortunately, bad decision-making gifted the visitors the winning goal late on. The 2016/17 Youth Alliance South West League results against Exeter City have been:

Sat 13th August 2016 Exeter City A 3-3 D. Scorers – Lewis Leigh-Gilchrist and Rhys Talmash (2).

Sat 22nd October 2016 EXETER CITY H 2-3 L. Scorer – Tyrone Tucker-Dixon (2).

Bristol Rovers Under 18 Academy next two matches are:

Tuesday 25th April 2017. Bristol Rovers v Stevenage 13:00

Saturday 29th April 2017. Bristol Rovers v Swindon Town 10:30.

The results of the fixtures in Merit League One played on Saturday 22nd April 2017 are:

Cambridge United 3 v 1 Southend United.

Exeter City 1 v 1 Bristol Rovers.

Gillingham 0 v 1 Newport County.

Swindon Town 4 v 1 Leyton Orient.

The Stevenage Under 18 Academy side are likely to score in the fixture but how many will they concede?

They are currently fourth in the league but have a match in hand on the two sides immediately above them.

Their results in the Youth Alliance Merit League One are shown below.
