Gas Girls cup-tie to be played behind closed doors

Bristol Rovers Women’s FC can confirm that this Sunday’s Vitality Women’s FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round tie against AEK-Boco Ladies will now be played behind closed doors.

This decision has been made due to a member of the bar staff at Lockleaze Sports Centre, recently testing positive for Covid-19. To ensure everyone’s health and safety, the bars and function rooms are being deep cleaned while the spectator areas will be out of bounds until further notice. We have also been advised not to encourage spectators to stand by the perimeter fencing, to ensure that social distancing measures are in place.

We’d like to apologise to those who have registered for tickets, however it’s imperative that all spectators are able to enjoy the match in a safe environment.

Thank you all for continued support and we look forward to welcoming you all back very soon.
