Both our Gas Girls sides completed resounding victories on Sunday to maintain their 100% records and to stay top of their respective leagues.

It was a damp and very windy South Bristol Sports Centre that welcomed our first team as they prepared to face Bristol & West Ladies. It was a goal-less first half that our girls dominated but for a goalkeeper in truly inspired form we would have easily been ahead. The second half continued in a similar vein until with twenty minutes to go Anna Hubble broke the deadlock scoring from a corner. As so often happens in football once you have scored the first goal the next one is around the corner and Georgia Vandries soon made it two also from a corner, with Jasmine Bull completing the scoring. Left-back Poppy Warren deservedly picked up the Player of the Match award.

Our Development side made the short journey to Bradley Stoke Community School where they picked up a very impressive 4-0 victory over Bradley Stoke Ladies. Lottie Weeks, Zoe Jones, Rosie Hall and Kelsey Manning were our goalscorers while Cheyanne Lee picking up the Player of the Match award.

This Sunday sees our first team play their long-awaited first home match when they take on Forest of Dean Ladies at Lockleaze Sports Centre. Our Development side face a journey to take on Bishops Cleeve Ladies. Both games kick-off at 2pm.
