These notes are written before the Supporters Club sponsored Development Squad were in Gloucestershire Cup action last Tuesday night at our training ground hosts Cribbs F.C. Let’s hope the lads are getting to the final at the end of the season.
Academy Mid-Season Cash Boost
The former Development Squad Manager, Chris Hargreaves, now heads up the Rovers’ Youth Academy and we have been in contact with him recently to follow-up the ‘mid-term’ donation of £16,000 from the 50/50 Draw that goes towards the running costs of the Academy’s various teams.
Next in line is due to be a brilliant donation of almost £4,000 from our Norton Radstock Branch which will pay for some kit including GPS vests which track and monitor the players both in training and in matches. We’ll have more on this in future ‘Pirates’ but meantime our thanks go to Carolyn Simmons and the great team down there in Somerset for their fantastic efforts.
