The Committee is pleased to announce that, at long last, we have received confirmation from our auditor that the 36,600 shares (over £100,000 investment in Bristol Rovers Football Club) that have been purchased by loyal members of the Supporters Club’s share scheme since the takeover of the club by the Al Qadi family, have finally been registered with Companies House and a copy of the share certificate to that effect has now been issued.

The issue of the share certificate and registration of the shares has taken four years to achieve and during that time we made repeated requests to the Football Club and its lawyers for this simple process to take place. To achieve what in effect is really an acknowledgement of the members’ investment in the Football Club has required the Committee to take actions that we would never have thought necessary but we are pleased that these actions have finally born fruit and regular monthly payments into the Rovers’ account can resume forthwith.

In closing the Committee wishes to thank most sincerely the remaining members of the Share Scheme for their continued investment in our beloved football club, which now totals in excess of £1.2 million, and for their patience whilst this issue has been resolved.

Jim Chappell,
Chairman, BRSC.
