Following the interview on Radio Bristol with Martyn Starnes, the CEO of Bristol Rovers Football Club, there has been much speculation and rumour regarding the position of Ken Masters as a director of Bristol Rovers Football Club. Bristol Rovers Football Club have engaged solicitors, as stated by Martyn Starnes, and Ken Masters has had to instruct solicitors in response. We are not able to discuss the details of the ongoing legal issues, but we wish to make it clear that the interview with Martyn Starnes contained many factually incorrect and false statements, that are without foundation.

Ken Masters has been a director of Bristol Rovers Football Club since 2006, and still is a director of Bristol Rovers Football Club. The position is a voluntary position, for which Mr Masters receives no remuneration. Ken Masters’ contribution to Bristol Rovers Football Club over the years has been outstanding, and he has always acted honestly, and in the best interests of Bristol Rovers Football Club, and Bristol Rovers Supporters Club as their appointed representative on the board of directors of Bristol Rovers Football Club.

We wish to put an end to the speculation, and rumour, and be clear that there is no suggestion of any impropriety by Ken Masters, financial or otherwise. Ken Masters has the full ongoing support of Bristol Rovers Supporters Club, and Bristol Rovers Presidents Club.
