The Supporters Club is deeply saddened to learn of the death of Rovers’ record appearance holder, Stuart Taylor, after a long and dibilitating illness.
Everyone who met ‘Big Stu’ would confirm him to be a ‘gentle giant’ and an absolute gentleman with time to spare for all. He was a one-club man who gave everything for the quartered shirt and he will be greatly missed by all at the club. Stuart’s record with Rovers is highly unlikely ever to be surpassed – a true ‘Gas Great’.
We offer sincere condolences to all Stuart’s family and friends at this very sad time.
