Sunday’s first home game for our first team has had to be called off as our opponents Forest of Dean Ladies are unable to raise a side, and they have forfeited the game.
Everyone connected with Bristol Rovers Women’s FC (and Bristol Rovers Supporters Club too) is utterly devastated to bring you this news; the girls were so looking forward to it.
Defender Tasha Galpin taking to Twitter said, “We’re all so sorry to anybody who was planning on making the journey to watch us tomorrow. It goes without saying that we are absolutely gutted. The work doesn’t stop, we train. We become stronger”, Midfielder Courtney Adams added, “Absolutely devastated”, while captain Natty Coles said, “Absolutely gutted”.
Our Development side’s game at Bishop’s Cleeve goes on as normal, kicking-off at 2pm.
