Woodards is Rovers fan’s Player of the Year

Danny Woodards has been named the Supporters Club Player of the Year.
The versatile defender picked up the award at the club’s presentation evening at the Memorial Stadium last night.
Consistent Woodards, 28, signed from MK Dons at the start of the season, has made 41 appearances to date.
Manager Mark McGhee and the first team squad were among the guests who attended the entertaining evening.
Promising young Welsh striker Eliot Richards was named Young Player of the Year. The 20-year-old scored 10 goals including a hat-trick in the 7-1 win against Burton Albion.
The Goal of the Season Jane Browne Trophy went to Mustapha Carayol for his strike in the 7-1 win over Burton Albion.
Muzzy’s goal was voted best by last night’s audience after they had seen the goals in a presentation by Screen Soccer.
Mitch Harding picked up the Alan Lacock Youth Team Player of the Year trophy.
