Oxford Game Postponed
August 23, 2005
[image1]Next Tuesday’s game against Oxford United has been postponed.
This is due to Oxford’s Craig Davies earning a call up to the Wales under 21 squad for their games against England and Poland this Friday and next Tuesday repectively.
Originally due to be played on the bank holiday Monday, the fixture was already rescheduled with Oxford’s agreement to the Tuesday. Despite rules stating that three players must be called up before postponement can be considered, Rovers had agreed the fixture could be called off should Davies earn a call. Last season’s match ended with a 2-0 win for the home side with Rovers Boss Atkins waving from the gantry to the away fans.
The match will now be played on Tuesday 13th September, kick off 7.45pm.
