MATCHDAY TRAFFIC SURVEYS

At Tuesday night’s fixture many of you will have been handed a traffic survey questionnaire, which is part of the preparatory work being carried out to assist with the ground development project. If you haven’t already completed yours could we ask that you do so as soon as possible and return it to either of our shops or directly to the stadium?

Those supporters who live in the Horfield area will tell you that the local politicians are focusing once again on match day parking around the Memorial Stadium. Indeed it has been the subject of some correspondence in the Bristol Evening Post.

This is of course a sensitive issue at a time when the plans for stadium redevelopment are being progressed towards a formal planning application. It is vital that we do not give our critics ammunition by either thoughtless or illegal car parking around the stadium on match days. It’s not just a question of helping the planning application; it’s about Bristol Rovers supporters being good neighbours as well! Of course if you can leave your car at home and come by public transport or better still walk then even better!
