Support The Share SchemeThis Saturday
May 4, 2006
[image1] This Saturday at the match against Macclesfield, Supporters Club Share Scheme advisors will be holding a bucket collection to swell the coffers through the summer break.
Supporters Club committee member David Hewett introduced the spare change collecting tins earlier this season, with a decent outcome too! They have been there for people to put their coppers into and have netted almost £100 over the season, not bad for small change!
Share Scheme Chairman and Associate Director David Brain said; “With membership numbers fluctuating this season, we have had to take a good look at the ways in which we both fund raise and promote the Share Scheme to our fan base. Potentially, we have a very good membership opportunity, but a variety of reasons prevent many from making that regular commitment. It is understandable as we all have different disposable incomes and different financial priorities. We are hoping Gasheads will give generously on Saturday, as we will not be seeing each other for a few months.”
David continued; “Next season, we hope to have some new ways in which people can help support the Rovers Share Scheme. The committee is meeting regularly and listening to people who give feedback in an effort to tailor the scheme to suit people’s needs.”
Share Scheme buckets will be strategically placed around the entrances to the Mem, along with programme sellers who will also be able to take spare change too.
