Bristol Rovers Chairman Nick Higgs could barely hide his disappointment today.
The High Court have ruled in favour of Mike Coupe and Sainsbury’s.
This means the supermarket chain are not obliged to proceed with the contract to the purchase the Memorial Stadium.
“The decision is a huge disappointment and a massive kick in the teeth for the football club and its supporters, as well as for the wider Bristol Community,” he said before adding; “I think we have been let down big time.”
It would appear that the club is likely to appeal against the decision announced.
