January 27, 2016

Accrington Stanley v Bristol Rovers Match Officials.

Saturday 30th January 2016. Sky Bet Football League Division Two.

The Match Referee is MARK HAYWOOD.

Mark Haywood, Jermaine Easter and a livewire Nicholas Brett Hunt in one of the many  controversial moments at The One Call Stadium in October 2015.

The Assistant Referees are Andrew Miller and Kevin Mulraine.

The Fourth Official is Barry Cropp.

This is West Yorkshire Mark And Not The Cheshire Mark.

There are TWO referees that have similar names. Mark Haywood and Cheshire’s Mark Heywood.

One has been a good omen for The Pirates and the other is used to overseeing defeats for BRFC.

The “Man In Black ” for our opening Football League fixtures in 2013/14 and 2015/16 has been Mark Heywood.

We lost 2-1 at Exeter City in the 2013/14 season and 1-0 at home to Northampton Town this season.

However, Mark Haywood refereed the 2-1 Away victory at Mansfield Town on October 17th 2015.

Although 3 players were sent off that afternoon Mark Haywood has only sent off 5 players in total this season.

In the 21 games refereed this season he has booked 54 players in total.

Mark Haywood from West Yorkshire is the Match referee for ASFC v BRFC on Saturday 30th January 2016.

His last match was on Saturday 16th January when he witnessed Walsall win 3-2 at Bury in League One.

He was also the referee on Saturday 31st August 2013 when we beat Northampton Town 1-0 at The Mem.

His other appointment was on Tuesday 25th February 2014 when BRFC drew 1-1 at Scunthorpe United.

With luck there will be no sending offs for BRFC at Stanley this weekend that are later rescinded.
