The Supporters Club is deeply saddened to learn today of the death of long-time member, Brian Williams, in Bath’s Royal United Hospital from Coronavirus.

Brian was a true supporter over many decades from our times at Eastville, through the days in exile at Twerton Park and right up to the current days at the Memorial Stadium. He was an avid supporter travelling all over the country in support of his beloved Rovers, was active on the forums and often controversial at Supporters Club and, as a shareholder, at Football Club General meetings. I last saw him at Rovers’ old training ground at The Lawns back in September where a small group of ‘Gasheads’ enjoyed a now rare afternoon of live football as Cribbs F.C competed in the F.A. Vase while the Football League was not available to us. Brian often made my life as Chairman difficult when he was his usual controversial self at meetings but, it was never meant with any sort of malice and I am proud to say that I knew and respected him for his loyal support. I will miss him greatly.
My sincere condolences go to Brian’s family and many friends.
R.I.P. Brian and ‘Goodnight Irene’ – we’ll see you in our dreams!
Jim Chappell,
Chairman.
