An experienced winger with Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield Town, and Brighton, Colin Dobson signed for Rovers as a player-coach on this day in 1972.
A player whose skill excited the crowd, he was to play in 62 league games for Rovers between 1972 and 1976, scoring four goals. A member of our promotion winning team in 1973/74 he went on to coach at Coventry City, Port Vale and Aston Villa before trying his luck coaching in Bahrain.
